He made a lot of of people think about animals and their enviroment. He wasn't perfect...none of us are. Darwin award??? Please!!!!

So does Ringling Brothers, but their animal handling is a lot to be desired also... your right none of us are perfect, but his was not a GOD nor a hero, and not even a scientist or researcher...he was just an actor!

Yeah, he was a zoo owner and an animal handler.

Scientists and researchers often kill the specimens they are working with. Aquatic research was very destructive. Terrestrial research was very animal friendly on the other hand.

People who live in close proximity to wildlife have a different perspective than urban folks. My firends who live in the raatlesnake infested south have no qualms about grabbing snakes by the tail and tossing them out of the way. They say if you aren't willing to do this, you'd better hire a gardener and never go hiking.
