Well we chose not to have kids and have animals instead. SO the kitties and fish take that spot for her. She feels like she lost 2 of her kids last night she said.

As goofy as it sounds to be upset over fish, these are our little ones. I am still hopeful they will show up.

You read what I am going through to save my fish. :) I understand. I have a different attitude about animals than most people. In fact I probably prefer animals over most people. :eek2: :D

You could always ease her pain by leaving work early, getting 2 replacements and having them acclimated by the time she gets home. ;) Then play dumb about them hiding inside a rock.

I thought of replacing them actually as a surprise, but need to figure out what happend first so it does not happen again.

I could just see you trying to explain that....look honey...it's a miracle...maybe our clowns have a lot of anemone genes in them cause they just split and now we have 4.....CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??

LMAO...now that would be something wouldn't it :)

She is on her way home to check and see if they have made an appearance. I just hope she is not dissapointed.

What are you feeding them? I could donate a chunk of Rod's Food to see if they magically appear for a bite...

Well, if it helps, I had a firefish that I didn't see for three weeks, at all, vanished, and believe me I looked and looked and BAM one day he's there swimming around like nothing happened. He was a bit skinnier, but seemed fine.

Thanks for the encouragement Caragol. I am still somewhat optimistic myself, but think Elizabeth has given up entirely. It's a shame too because like you said, they could turn up down the road. Maybe they just have a really good hiding spot that I did not see last night???

I don't know, they can fit into amazingly small little nooks in the rock, or go under a rock entirely. My wife used to care a lot more about the fish, I used to let her pick them out (after I gave the choices of what was acceptable for the tank) but after a devastating ich outbreak and losing her yellow clown goby she's just not into it anymore. It's too much and fish can die too easily.

True...so true. We will see what happens with this. Hopefully it's a positive turnout instead of what she is expecting.

SO I decide to leave the office early and do some more hunting for clowns in hopes I can figure out what the heck happened.

Low and behold...who decides to make a Cameo...Yep the 2 little boogers are in the front looking at me like nothing happened. There new names instead of Ho Ho and Twinkie...Dumb & Dumber...

Won't Mommy be surprised. Yeah for her. That should cheer her up.

Now to find out where they go and hide and scare there momma half to death.

EXCELLENT News!!!

Wierd how this happens. Had a wrasse once disappear for 2 weeks, reappear for a day and haven't seen him since (5 months)

Also found a chromis 2 weeks after disappearing in my skimmer tank. Ya never know.

True...Crazy hobby I tell ya...

Momma is home disciplining her babies....SOmething like this..

"If you ever scare Mommy like that again you will get a timeout. You had Mommy very upset last night and all day today. What do you have to say for yourself"

Fish: "What are you talking about crazy lady. I live in a glass box. If I want to play Ghost in the Grave yard with my sister, then I will. I have nothing else to do all day now do I"

Guess the fish already are in the "Teen" years....LOL
