Just venting... I ve had my tank for 3 years I had a pair of clowns and a green bouble tip anemone in that tank for two year. Two days ago I woke up to my clowns finally in the anemone after two years of being in the same tank. Two days latter I wake up to my anemone in side one of my powerheads. it literally riped it in two. My water was very cloudy and all my corals looked stressed . I lost the anemone : ( I did a 50% water change and all my corals came back to there normal look. I guess it could have been worst, I could have lost everything. I cant see my self getting another. Well I.just wanted to share my story, Ill just stick to corals from now on.

Dont worry your not the only one that has had that happen to you. I would have to say at least half of us who have keep nems for awhile has had one get munched by a powerhead.

Sorry to hear about your loss. That's tough. It's amazing how attached we become to these animals that we can't even pet.

I remember when the exact same thing happened to me. It was pitch dark but something was off about the smell in my fish room. I knew before I turned on the light what I was going to find. Sure enough, my mag had been sucked into my Vortech. I had to cut it out with scissors! It lived though.

To this day I have an unsightly piece of eggcrate blocking my nem from my pumps. How does every one else keep their nems safe? I'd love to know the secret so I can finally relax and enjoy my tank.

I've never had trouble with koralia, tunz, or vortech, because they are very protected, but I leave them on all the time. My bubble tip has never moved though, but my maxi's used to.

anyone had any anemone go into a sicce voyager? They seem to have better protection around them. Sorry to hear about your loss. We've all been there and can attest.
