I'm looking for the safest type of light to QT SPS corals. I'm thinking T5, but I have halides and LED's I could use (350/360 Kessils, gen 3 non-pro Radion). I would have to buy the T5 fixture, which is not a big deal at all. I just want something gentle on the newcomers. What are your thoughts?

I would stick with whatever light type you have over your main display. I wouldn't want to acclimate corals to two different light sources twice.

I agree with the others, use the same type light that's on your display with slow acclimation. I did vote for T5 as the softest on SPS.

Well I'm doing Radion/T5 hybrid on the display tank in my office. But Halides over the grow out tank in my warehouse. So it will depend on whether the corals are going in the grow out tank first or straight to display.
