sailfin death due to xenia?

So, my tank was being overrun by Pom Pom xenia. I decided to trim some back. For the next two days my tang was hiding and on the third day I woke up to a dead fish. Could the xenia have released enough toxin to kill him or was this just a coincidence?

Coincidence, the fact that the sailfin was in a 75g is much more of a contributing factor to the death of the fish then the Xenia

Any other dead animals?

How long was he a resident?

Did you have an ammonia spike or other chemistry change?
