sailfin - is this a desjardini?

sorry for the bad quality but i'm hoping to get a desjardini sailfin and wondering if you guys think this is a desjardini or not.

That looks like the pacific sailfin to me
I always thought the desjardini had spots on its belly

desjardini have spotted fins as juvies and then the spots spread from the anal fin to their flank as they grow. That said, the picture just isn't clear enough for me to commit, although I'm leaning towards desjardinii myself.

yeah i can't really tell from the photo either. I'll get it and if it's not a red sea i'll ask for a bit of $ back or something. it's being shipped to me this weekend i think.

I could be wrong. Just compared on LiveAquaria, apparently the juvenile desjardini looks more like the veliferum. Yours looks like it could be that. Doesnt look like my desjardini though.

That's a real nice Desjardini... I have one from Liveaquaria that looks like yours..

It's hard to tell at that size. My "regular" sailfin looked very similar to the first fish when I first got him at about 2" in length. Now he is about 4.5" long and has regular sailfin markings.

ok here's a better photo:

got the egg crate in there so my yellow tang can get used to seeing him. Also have some dvds on the side of the tank so the yellow can take out his aggression there. sailfin seems to be picking at the rocks and stuff but hasn't eaten anything i've offered yet... but i didn't try too hard yet.
