Sailfin tang all yellow?

Calappidae

Harlequin Shrimp
Hello, My sailfin tang turns yellow after being fed, the pupil in its eyes also stick out more in color. (their pupil is pure black while the line going down is more of a yellowish grey) and whenever it swims around.. I looked at photos and videos of them and I never see them do that.. is this a disease of some sort or is this a normal behavior? I have a decent ammount of hair algae and all the tang does is pick at it.. I even noticed a decrease in dark green slime aglae. When ever I turn the light off it acks normal.

I uploaded the pictures in attachments. I actually just joined today... So I have no clue what you mean by sober. I think I have an idea what you mean by that, I'm only 15. Anyways sorry for the poor quality.. But you can easily see the colors on it, the only thing hard to tell is the pupil in it's eye. Its pupil is easily noticable which concerns me. Nothing is sticking out, I don't ever see it around my peppermint shrimp, other fish don't bother it.. it did nip my scooter blenny today tho and it spends 24/7 nipping at all the hair algae on the rock. I used to feed it vegy clip by hand but since I got all this hair algae I slowed down on that and just gave it the same frozen mysis everyone else eats in the tank. One thing I notice is.. every.. single morning, one side of the gill breathes normally, and the other stays still and doesn't do anything.. then whenever it eats or goes by the peppermint shrimp it all of a sudden starts breathing normally again and this only happens in the mornings.

I'm not sure if you were looking at pics of the Desjaradini sailfin and are confusing it with your sailfin? Mine will get drastically lighter or darker in color depending on his mood and if he is trying to get cleaned by my cleaner gobys. Fast breathing maybe because you need more surface adjutation or maybe a better skimmer?? Lack of color isn't necessarily a sign of disease

I have two powerfilters, and the water level is lower causing alot of splash. The tank is acrylic and I'm very limited with space for skimmers, overflowboxs, etc.

This tank originally housed a peacock mantis. The old tank these guys lived in got nuked by something, everything was sick.. so I took out my mantis and put these in.

(the two containers are harlequin shrimp and a N. wrennerae mantis.. the harlys now roam the tank instead of the container.)

You could pick up an inexpensive powerhead to improve flow and surface agitation. What size is that tank?
Currently I have a 125 gallon being built so I'm aware of the tank size with a tang in it.. its a 4 inch from tail to mouth tang in a 3 foot long 30 gallon :worried2:

Thats for oxygen and water movement actually. I'm missing about 2inches of water for the splashing of the filters to add more oxygen. Its all temperarly like said my 125 is building.
