I have a large sailfin that was a bullying my newly added majestic and sohal tang. I took him out and placed him in the QT thank and he's been there for a few days. If i put him back in will he forget that it's his old chomping grounds and play nice?

Don't know about the majestic, they can be quite wussy fir a large angel. The Sohal, however, won't take anything from any other fish for long. Almost always, a Sohal ends up as the Alpha fish. BTW: how big is your DT, how bad was the war,and how long before you moved the sailfin? Especially when dealing with adult fish, you need to give them time to establish a pecking order and some nipping ,chasing, and even a frayed fin or two is normal

my DT is about 150gallons and he was picking on the majestic and sohal really bad and since both the majestic and sohal was quite smaller than the sailfin i decided to move the sailfin. He was really easy to catch and trap since all i ahd to do was force it into this one corner and he's golden. I liek the sailfin but i love the sohal a lot more. i feel bad that he's now sitting in a 55 QT tank for a few days until i could find a good home for him.

The "time-out" may be all you need; it often works well with dominant fish. When they're returned, they don't have all that territory to defend. IMO, its worth a try. The Sohal is one of the most aggressive fish we keep, it won't take him long to put the SF in its place.
