So

I have sailfine tang fish which I moved it to my display tank a two weeks ago
It was doing fine but there was aggression between him and my purple tang
Which been in the tank for a long time .
So my sailfine tang was eatting good swimming good
Tell to days ago it's stopped eatting but still swimming good
And look healthy but it just ignoring the food I look to him
He got injured in his mouth and little in his fines it's not look like that damaged
But he stopped eatting

The question is is that cause of the fight with the purple tank cause now the don't fight any more or it's sick

And what can I do to make it eat again

Can any one help me with that cause I really love this fish and don't wanna lose it

I hope you have a very large tank, 240 gallon plus. Those are both Zebrasoma's and will need a very large tank to have a chance getting along

It's 190 gallon they r not that bag both r medium size
And they stop fighting now
My question is will it survive ?? And start eatting again

I thing I will add another two tangs so the purple tang
Can't attack all of them

I have a feeling that won't end well for anybody. Try the mirror trick. Put a mirror against one of the walls of the tank to distract the Purple into attacking itself.

I have a 265, and have been able to successfully introduce a sailfin into an environment with both resident purple and yellow tangs. But, the sailfin had been through 12 weeks of QT where it had been fed heavily, thus able to survive the aggression. Also, in both case, the sailfin was larger than either the purple and yellow and I use a socialization box.

The sailfine is bigger then the purple and it was eatting good
For ten days in the display tank
And it was in QT for month eat just like crazy
But the last two days it's stopped eatting

try feeding bloodworms or black worms to entice him to eat , as well as some garlic which is supposed to increase the fishes appetite . if its mouth is damaged that may stop him from eating and he/she will need to heal up , amquel will speed that process up I think . do some reaserch on that and go from there

I have found Sailfin tangs to be somewhat delicate and will go on hunger strikes if stressed. I had one thriving in my tank and then one day it was propped upright on the sand bed dead as the proverbial door nail. By all means try some different kinds of foods, but if it was eating and now isn't I'd doubt that approach will work. It may be that the fish will resume eating after a bit, but if it starts to look at all thin, you'll have to either remove it of the purple.
