<a href=showthread.php?s=&postid=11758907#post11758907 target=_blank>Originally posted</a> by moo0o billybeau, how would you rate the salifert phosphate test in accuracy?
I think its pretty doggone accurate. I had some situations where I ran this new GFO for awhile and the test water was completely clear. As it exhausted, I started seeing a hint of blue. Sometimes darker than .03 and sometimes lighter.
As with all test kits, one should guard against contamination buy tightly capping the reagents after use and keeping the test vial clean.
I've used the Salifert and the Hach side by side, and they both seemed to return about the same result. The Hach is easier to pin to a number, because of the color wheel.
