Salifert v. Seachem Ca Test Results

dont know if this has been answered yet, and dont know if it is even relevant, but this intrigues me, and i wanted to post before reading further...the amount of di water required to run seachems test is approx. 3.5 ml compared to 1ml for the actual water sample.
i too am not a fan of the dilution factor. it adds an extra step to the kit.
 
i have not read all thes pages. but my new salifert test kits Ca & Alk. have a major Type - O

thier values are inverted on thier tables.

the Alk .7 reading crosses over to 4.8 dkh it should be 11.2

the Alk .3 reading crosses over to 11.2 dkh it should be 4.8


someone confirm that for me.
 
I'm not sure exactly what values you are referring to. The more titrant you add, the higher the alkalinity. Double check that way. If the first value is volume remaining in the syringe, then one expects as that gets smaller, the alkalinity gets higher.
