I have an RBTA that I've had for around 2 weeks. All has been well until 2 nights ago. My top off switch failed and flooded my sump. I was able to pump most of the fresh RO/DI water out before it mixed with the salt.
The salinity still dropped in my tank from 1.025 to 1.022 or so.
I've been slowly bringing it back up the last 2 days with my top off water. it is now at 1.024 sg.
The tank has been set up for 1.5 years, with Live Rock that has been in one of my tanks for over 3 years.
I run 250 watt 14k MH 10 hours a day.
I did a water test today on all params that I have tests for. See below.
pH: 8.2
NO2: 0
NO3: 0
NH3/NH4: .25 ppm (My test is off. It even tests fresh RO/DI from various sources at .25)
PO4: <.1 ppt
Ca: 360 (Need to bring this up a bit, but shouldn't affect the nem)
dkH: 8.3
Temp: 81
sg: Between 1.023 and 1.024
Any thoughts on if my nem will recover from this drop in salinity, or should I be worried at all?
Here's a picture on a normal day.
Here's today. (I wasn't fully extended yesterday either, but it did accept a piece of shrimp soaked in vitachem)
