Salinity Swing

Just a quick question for you guys.... I get a swing in salinity thru the day from about 35ppt - 36ppt. As my AOT adds fresh water. 75g, 1 month old just finishing my cycle.

Would it be better to keep with a swing of 35ppt-36ppt or adjust so the swing is 34ppt-35ppt.

Plan on doing a mixed tank with fish and corals.

Thanks in advance.

Apex, and Tunze AOT. Here is a screen shot of my APEX Log.

Using Fresh RO/DI in AOT. I do have a bit of a swing so with that said is 34-35 better than 35-36?

May have just come up with my own answer but my Salinity probe is in the return section of my sump and this is where I have the AOT adding fresh water. This could be causing my swing.

Going to move my probe and see what my readings go to.

Ya... I am sure... I have my own RO/DI unit... I am going to move the Salinity Probe away from where the ATO return is and see if I don't see the swing.

those salinity probes arent that accurate. tend to build up crude over time. just buy a good refractometer and you will be good to go
