salt mix

Not sure the best I think it depends on what kind of tank ..fowlr coral etc. I use HW Marine. There are a couple of great BRS vids talking about salt.

The aforementioned BRS video is informative. The big takeaway is that after a battery of tests and comparisons, it was determined that the salt brand you choose is not going to make or break your reef. All of them will sustain a healthy reef. There are some differences in mixing time, water cloudiness, levels of alkalinity, Ca, and Magnesium, etc.

I've used Instant Ocean since 1986 and see no compelling reason to switch.

^^^This^^

Except it was 1987 I think.

Also an Instant Ocean fan. Something else to keep in mind is which salts are available to you in your area.

I actually used instant ocean for ten years in my two nanos. It's easy to find even at my LFS which has no salt water fish. Only switched to HW with my 230g build.

I've used IO and later Reef Crystals for many years. Tryed a few others from time to time. Always came back, mostly for price. All seemed to work just fine.
Last Christmas I bought several boxes of Live Aquaria's salt for $30 a box"”great deal! Two boxes were damaged from shipping, and they replaced with two more. I recovered most of the damaged ones, so I'm set for quite a while. When the time comes, what's on sale?
