Hey all,
I've been using a Jebao rw-15 for a salt mixing pump but the motor has decided to quit working. I'm faced with the decision of buying new motor parts for $45 + shipping or just buy a new pump such as a tunze. I'm leaning more towards the tunze just so I dont have to worry about continually replacing the pump or having to fix it.
What I wanted to ask is what do you guys think is the best tunze model for the job? I'm trying to keep the price down but the tunze's produce much less flow then the jebaos for any of their pumps that are below $150. The rw-15 puts out about 4,000 GPH while the two tunzes I'm looking at produce either 1175 GPH or 1,700 GPH. What flow rate do you guys recommend for a salt mixing pump? I would like to be lazy and not have to mix up any salt at the bottom of my brute can so I'm trying to see if the 1700 GPH pump would be enough flow to accomplish this. The brute is a 32g.
