I am hopefully going to be moving shortly and the place I am going to has a septic sytem and it is near a lake. Is there problems that I am going to face putting salt water in the septic sytem or do I need to find a ditch!!
I was under the impression that it would not be a problem as it is the same SG as urine. Granted the system never recieves 50 gallons of pure urine....
I just bought a house that is on septic and do about 10 to 12 gallons a week in water change. I guess I never thought about it. After reading all that stuff I might dump my water somewhere else. If I dump it down the sump I will just kill a bunch of grass.
I was on a septic and when I drained and sold my 140 it killed all the grass/weeds in my gravel drive next to the house .... water changes went out the garage and into the gravel too - it was oddly the only place in my gravel drive that grew dandelions but had no other weeds .... I'd not flush it into your drains but find a way to dump it somewhere else!
