Salt water storage

Doomed

I'm looking to start making my own saltwater and looking for something to store it in. I would need it to hold at least 55 gallons. What is everyone using? Cheaper is always better.

They are on craigslist all the time. Just search for "55 gallon". I would try and get a drum that had a food product in it. Most of them have labels still on them with what was inside them. Then just take it home and wash it out real well or take it to the car wash and hit it with the high pressure rinse. I used some water and bleach on mine and let them dry.

there is a place on NE 13th and MLK I bought several at a while back. I cant remember their name though. They are in the phone book under "drums"

No, container supply is over on Santa Fe and 38th ish. The drum place is in the ghetto, lol but they are super nice guys, its in a neighborhood off MLK.

A place out in Shawnee if you care to travel that far? Luckday sporting goods has hundreds of different sizes and most are food grade drums. He has them all identified each with what originally was stored in them.

i also i make my one water now what the best kind of salt

You are opening up a can! JK Its all up to opinion there but a lot of us around here use reef Crystals, I am currently using up some Kent reef salt but have used most of them over the years with about the same results. some you will have to dose more if you have a heavy coral load
