I've been using Red Sea Coral Pro for about a year. The batch I checked tonight had close to the advertised amounts of ca and mg at 420 and 1200. I'd rather start with something close so I dont have to dose soo much ca and mg to get the readings where I want them.
I think they all get pretty close to alk but the dkh/hardness varies as well as the calcium and magnesium. The Red Sea has a higher then normal hardness but it only becomes an issue in my tank if I change 1/4 or more of the tank volume. The dkh value drops steadily in my tank and the water changes with the red sea keeps the dkh in check.
