lol, that's another 5.5 hour trip one way for me. It was very nice the first time but, may be better if I went to the closer ABC Reefs swap. Shaves off 2.5 hours each way heh :).

not meaning to Jack this thread but, have any of you attempted to buy corals out of the Montreal area? As long as you have the receipt and the purchase is for personal use, you are allowed to cross back to the US with corals. I goto a place in Laval sometimes. The store I goto only sells Marine life and dry goods. The guys system setup is extremely impressive. As part of his reef system, he has a side room that`s about 30 feet long that he lets just about no one to enter....:). There he has set up 3 rows of tanks all drilled and connected. The top 2 rows are all 20 gals I think and, contain LR with low lighting. Lots of algae growing on top and he never disturbs it. As I was coming from NY he honored me by letting me pick a few pieces of LR out of there to help seed my system. That's when he told me, "the only people I let back here is You, you.....and you :). I knew he was not kidding by the way he spoke and I felt he did me a great favor. Then there was his DTs. How can I describe this.... Vibrant! You know all those close up coral pics we see on the TOTM threads? Well, pics are one thing but, to see it in person.... I have not been there in a good while as I have been dealing with some issues with my own system but,...@ 2.5 hours from me it`s well worth the trip. :)

...well

...well

ya know... I've never even BEEN to Montreal. Oh well.

For those that went- wasn't last year's Salty Dog swap around the same time of year?

Is anybody going to this swap interested in my MRC calcium reactor?

...get yerself a passport n come outa yer shell Gary  ...generally I don`t like going there either BUT, that one store is a GEM.

Henry I will be sure looking for you. I am on the hunt for wild colored stuff :) SPS, Zoas, Acans.

What time does this shindig get going tomorrow?

I was interested in getting some easy to care for corals but didn't want to spend too much since im still just starting out. What are prices for cheaper frags usually like at swaps?

Thanks to the folks at the salty dog for having this today and thanks to all the folks who moved in and setup to sell items today. Very happy with what I came home with. Everything seems to be nice and open. Quite a few people shopping which was awesome.

Thanks so much had a wonderful Mothers' Day trip to the frag swap. Picked up a few cool pieces and got them acclimated.

There was a great turnout and great frags today. Got more than I planned on including some mellow yellow chalice! Ha a great time today thank you salty dog.

pretty bummed I couldn't make it. Hope everyone had a good time and got some nice pieces. Anyone wanna post pics of what they got for us to drool over?

Hehe patti I will post pics later on. Busy whipping up breakfast in bed for my wife and I have a 5 year old in the way, I mean trying to help. Lol.

I didn't get anything crazzzzyyyy or anything but got some good stuff. Cellphone pictures don't really do the colors (or anything) justice though.
