sand bed info please

i went to my local lowes looking for kolorscape sand. what they had was kolorscape leveling sand ( is this what people refer to?) or quickcrete premium play sand. will either of these make for a good sand bed. i cannot find southdown tropical play sand.

Ive used quickrete in 2 tanks with no problems. It is a silica based sand.
