sand bed or no sand bed?

hi guys,

was looking for opinions on keeping soft corals in a tank with or with out a sand bed. also which do you seem to get better results with.

i have done both and am thinking of adding my sand bed again. from what i have experianced the zoas and soft corals seem to do better with the sand bed.

what do you guys and gals think?

With the sand bed. I could go on and on. I'll just say that I believe that it is a necessary part of the ecosystem that we are trying to duplicate in our own way. You even stated that the zoas and softies do better with the bed. This is directly related to the fauna that inhabit the sand in turn assisting in the feeding of the corals AND assisting with nitrate control....
