Sand sifting fish?

What would be a good choice for a sand sifter in a 105?

Golden Head Sleeper Goby but make sure your rockwork is stable, they like to make home base under the rocks and dig constantly under them. Then they go around the tank sifting all day. Having an abundance of pods and fine grain sand that easily passes through their gills is also a good idea.

Thanks for the choice.Trying to find a fish that will clean up the sand and not spread sand all over the corals on the sandbed.

Haha I totally forgot about that happening when I had a few of them in my 55 gallon.

A fish isn't what your looking for if a fish won't due. Cowrie snail maybe?

Check out fighting counch, I have a couple with bunch of nassarius (spelling?) snails and sand is relatively clean.

Do they bury themselves at night?I have a yellow coris and about the only time i see the fish sift in the sand is when he goes to sleep for the night.

Read some info on the cowrie and it says it may eat anemones.I have about 8 Nems in my tank now.

A fish will do just that, especially the gobies are notorious for dumping the sand always where you want it the least.

What you are looking for are inverts that live in or on the sand but are no builders.

Anything is possible, probably similar odds to my anemones walking into a powerhead...
For now I'm very happy with the job they're doing
