Sand storm

I have added some well rinsed sand (so I thought) and now my tank is cloudy. I have slowed pump down to lowest setting and sbut off power head but hasnt changed much in 24 hrs. Would filter sock in sump help? Any suggestions to clear this up.

Mine took about 4 days to fully settle. Just give it time.

yes, use a filter sock and run everything as normal, so turn your flow back up. It will clear up. It takes a couple of days.

I think you could rinse sand for 2 hours and still have some cloudiness.
Can you imagine how bad it would be if you hadn't rinsed ?

Took mine(oolite) over 2 days to settle/filter with me doing small batches rinsed for 10 min or so, and then I had to blow stuff off my rocks as well.

I have the sugar fine sand and it took my tank a full week to clear up completely. Turn your flow back up to where you want it and just wait it out.

When I first got my yellow watchman goby he stirred up the sand so much he created a sandstorm mess. I keep my canister filter set up with floss and ready to use. So I hooked that up and it really helped. Just my experience.
