Sand

I have a stupid question... How much sand does everyone use in their 24g nano cube? I have about 1 inch in the bottom of mine... thinner in spots... Does anyone suggest more or less and why?

Tell me your thoughts and reasoning behind it.

1-4 inches is fine... i think deeper only really matters if you have burrowing animals or LS then the deeper the LS the more supplimental food it will create for your tank and more filtration

DSB's can be very beneficial...... lots of GRREAT threads about it on RC. very technical to write it here when others have done a marvelous job already.... run a search on DSB's
