saving a bleached bubble tip

Is it possible to bring back a bleached anemone? can anyone out there help, i picked it up off of a friend, he bought it and didn't have the correct lighting and it was slowly dyeing i told him and he finally believed me now i need help nursing it back to health, i have 2 10k 150w halides with 2 96w antinic on a 55g so i have plenty of light and the anemone has settled in a nice spot out in the open just want to know what i can do to help get its beautiful color it had when he got it back.

It is very possible, I have done it with an LTA (( M. doreensis )).

Make sure to keep your parameters in check. Since the one you have now came from sub-standard lighting I would shade it from your lights for a bit --- I prefer to use window screening (( supported with egg create )), 3 layers, with removing each layer every 5-7 days.

You are going to have to feed it more -- since it is bleached -- but make sure to give it small pieces and feedings often, as opposed to large pieces/feeding infrequently.

Great site for that. Yes, feed every day to start, then as it colors up move to every other day, etc. until you reach the frequency you want.

How bad is it bleached? Can you post a pic? As long as it will eat it should be fine. Here is my saving of a bleached BTA (sorry for the larger size):

Very well done with the RBTA.

Keep the faith, feed it and it will come back. Currently have a Magnifica and a GBTA that is slowly recovering. 2 months down the line, eating like maniacs, they are only just starting to darken a bit.

Yep, brought back an LTA and sebae from being horribly bleached myself.
Not the preferred way to start, but you have a good chance.
Mine only got mysis as opposed to larger food like silversides(which I'm not a fan of myself)

I am in the process of bringing back a tiny dime size rbta, I just feed it small pieces of shrimp every other day. Slowly but surely it is coloring up and it actually looks like it might be growing. Good luck!
