$1900 is a good buy, so they want $4000....boy O' boy what a rib off!! Member Unarce got it for $1500? Its worth the travel and save$2500. Which store in South Cal do you know?

Let me correct you, it is not a rib off. They are running a business.
Everyone buy low and sell high, and that applies to any business in the world. Your boss is the one that rib you off because he makes aleast 3 times the money on your effort.

Second that! Wholesale for 1900 in southern california and they have the fish for 2500. The different is wholesale and retail. Let me correct another issue, they want 4000 for the whole set up not just the Gem tang.

they should've put that fish in one of their large tanks, maybe it wouldve survived. it would have been more happy there

ouch... actually when i saw the little guy one of the first things i thought about was how big of a risk it is for a store to bring in such an expensive fish without a customer specifically ordering it. i suppose they should have charged us all a buck to look at the fish while they had him... cut their losses a bit :lol: seriously though, i don't know the shop owners personally, but i can't help but cringe for a loss like that. yeah, they only paid the wholesale price.... but $1900 (or whatever) still has to hurt.
