"lights out! gorilla radio! turn that s__t off! cool song... did you know they can break glass tanks up to 3/8"? thats where they get the nickname "pistol shrimp" 1/10,000th of a second is the reflex of the large pincher. yours appears to be acrylic, im not sure if it can crack it though. just thought i'd pass that along. REEF-ON!!!

:hmm5:
That is just too cool. Back to your origonal quetion about adding a piece of PVC, I wouldn't. Not after seeing that. With all the work he has done I am quite sure the tank remodel included a lay-z-boy, whorl pool bath, and sauna. I would keep my eyes out for a monster chunk of fully cured LR for the other side of the tank, but that is just my aquascaping taste.

I can't see the pics, due to my screen being really dark.
But didn't you say on your previous thread that this was a Mantis Shrimp?
If so, then nano4brains, a pistol shrimp is totally different then a Mantis Shrimp,

whats up guys!. Yes Spaceman, he is a Peacock mantis, I think Nano just got a bit confused lol. Thanks again Thurge!, you know Before the tank looked like this, i had a huge Cliff like formation on the right of the tank. But then i thought maybe the mantis would appreciate more room to run around. Well.. was i wrong, he just pokes out of hes head out of the hole every few minutes and stares at me lmao. They are really intresting animals. He only comes out to get a snail or hermit. He also has a pet peeve, when ever a hermit or snail gets to close to he's home, he comes out, picks them up and throws them across the tank lol. Yeah.. mantis shrimp rock!.

Haha, really?
I'm getting a Peacock Mantis at the end of summer.
I'd get one now, but I'll be spending my whole summer at my friends houses which are all half an hour drive away, so I wouldnt be home to feed him often enough.
Does he walk around at all?

He came out alot while he was building hes home. I think it is still to early to tell if he will be more active, maybe after a few weeks or a month. I also think hes age may play a factor in hes aggressiveness. I know one thing, i dropped a red clawed crab in the tank and my mantis got ****ED, beat the crud outa the crab and ate a couple of legs.
