Say No to Sand Storms?

came home to a fallen powerhead, and a huge sand storm...

how do u guys keep your powerheads from droping?

this is only the second time this has happened to me...
but it's such a big pain in the ___ but anyways, if u got any ideas please help...

I actually designed my rockwork to support the powerheads. They are all wedged between two pieces at the the top of the display. I can still pull them out for cleaning but otherwise they are pretty solidly supported.
 
yeah either use the hang on's that come with your powerheads or secure them some other way ...those suction cups suck. I use the orbit lighting systems so i run the chord under the legs so they hold power head in place even if they come loose. i also moved my overflow box just enough to squeeze a powerhead between back wall and box.........
 
Get a MagFloat glass cleaner, rough up your powerhead and the Magfloat, and epoxy the two together using standard marine putty/epoxy. Works great, easy to position. The medium (long and skinny) magfloat works fine.
