SCA vs Glass Cage

I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with both of these companies and if one seems to have better workmanship than the other. I'm purchasing a 60 x 24 x 30 rimless low lead reef ready. Both companies seem to be about the same price on this tank. Any input or experiences with these companies would be great. Thanks in advance!!

My tank is from GC and it's been solid. I purchased it back ~ 2013 and I've had no issues.

You should probably post in the lighting filtration forum for more responses, and there is already a large thread on SCA tank owners over there as well.

I was in between, and after lots of reading went with SCA. Glass cages doesnt have the same finish. SCA is excellent, and Steve is the best getting back to you with all info needed.
I just got a 150 and is pretty amazed with the finish

another vote for steve @ SCA. the silicone and glass is top notch.

might consider doing a custom, have them drill holes in the back for external overflow.
the only think I dislike and it a small dislike but there in the big center overflow box running down the tank.

if they starting doing a "ghost" or C2C or something of the like it would be amazing.

I never tried SCA, but GC worked with me for over a month refining my custom tank design. It was also the most economical by a long range.

They are actually already doing that, a reefer at my local club is getting a ghost overflow on his.

That is nice. But now I want my 90 to have that.:(

Yeah, welcome to my world, I got the first run w/ just a drain and return bored, and the full size overflow, but hey, I got my 120g low iron glass for $500 out the door so I'm not complaining.

Just got my 65 in from Glass Cages and AMAZING :)
Wish i could have gotten a bigger one but hey what can ya do lol

My glass cages aquarium broke and spilled 300 gallons on my floor. Never again. Went with acrylic and it's been amazing for over a year and a half.

Ive seen GC work in action and it looks good, definitely better places out there but its held up great for 5 years now.
