Scarlet skunk

We introduced two larger sized scarlet skunk cleaners to our tank a few months ago. Both were always out and this past week only one has been out. This is my first experience with the more social cleaner shrimps...is it normal for a shrimp that was out all day long and at every feeding to go missing for days?

i just added two to my tank a week or so ago, and they haven't come out at all...they just hide in the rock...if i look i can find them, so they're still alive...how long did it take for them to become social after adding them? ... and sorry that i couldn't answer your question.

Mine were both social upon the evening of addition and the one still is. We have a bigger fireblood who creeps around in the back. The fact that I can see it ocassionally but never the scarlet skunk bodes badly. With it not coming out for food either...I think it is gone.

Mine would hide for a few days when molting. Molting is common when new to a tank also.

I am hoping that it is molting too. Still in the 3ish months we've had them it has never been gone so long. I am hoping it will show up this week.
