Scary shrimp/ beetle, looking prangmantis

Can anyone help I know it doesnt help at all without a pic, but I found this thing in my tank and I have nightmares about it now. It was about 1-2 inches long, looks something like a shrimp, centipeed, beetle, with a prangmantis like head and front. It is clear with a maybe bluish or greenish tint too it has a shrimp-like shell. Help!! Is this bad? Il try to get a pic

mantis shrimp? bristle worm? very hard to say without a pic.

ive been doing some research I think its a mantis shrimp, should I get that out

it all depends one what you have in your tank. If it is a mantis it will eat small hermits ans snails and fish smaller then itself. I personally like mantis so you can ship it to me! Also try and get some pic to be for sure.

Westcoast, your description sounds like a mantis shrimp to me, does this look similar?
