Where: IHOP, 1001 E 17th St, Santa Ana CA 92701-2546

Topic: Virtual tank tour
We have discussed for years bringing back the tank tour. We are hoping this will inspire you all to join in and participate is a field trip that I have found to be most helpful in my journey as an aquarist.

Also, we will discuss our May 19th field trip, exciting upcoming speakers, raffle items, and so much more!

Don't forget to bring your water samples to have them tested by Steve Garrett.

Also, be sure to get your raffle tickets for another amazing raffle!

Can someone bring me some chaeto? I managed to fry mine the first go around. Quart size would be cool if you need to thin yours out. Thanks!

I have some Starburst Monti $25, Bubble Gum Digi $20 available. I think there are a few more will update later. Let me know if there is any interest. Steve Carroll I have a Starburst for you.

I'm interested in the Starburst. Let me know what else you have to sell.

I have 2 4" Spongodes frags for $40 each, one 6" Showpiece Spongodes $60. I also have 10" Spiraling Red Cap for $25, it will come with a bucket! Need room in frag tank. I will try and get some pictures tonight, but I have a piece of Tonga branch with WWC Grafted Cap, and Sunburst Grafted Cap I will sell for $75. It is beautiful coral that is kind of shaded under my frag rack a bit and is not showing the same color these pieces show in my display. More light will fix this fast. This was a showpiece I purchased from Stryker and I ended up having to frag up and plant in my tank as these caps grow pretty fast.
I may have a few others will check when I get home.

The members only Field Trip this Saturday at 10am is going to be off the hook and for those of you looking for some special new coral for the tank would be foolish to miss. I will be there handing out membership cards and will be able to sign you up for the club at 930am for those that have not joined. See you guys at the meeting Friday and will have more field trip info at the meeting!

i'll be at the meeting

Ok Monkie. Spongodes is a pretty sweet piece and pretty hardy if you do not have, similar to a cap, but SPS type branches grow out of. It is a very underrated coral.

I have 99% pure bulk Calcium Chloride I can bring to the meeting. 2($10), 5($20), 10($30), 20($40)& 50 pounds($45.00). It is perfect for dosing Randy’s two part or supplementing calcium. Each cup weighs 8.4 ounces. It takes 2.5 cups to make 1 gallon of Randy’s Ca part recipe #1. For recipe #2 you only need 1 1/4 cups to make a gallon of Ca additive.
For the ALK part Costco has 7 pound bags of baking soda for $4,99. Costco also has Epsom salt for magnesium in part 3. Just let me know how much you want.

I think I already got a small frag of that. dark green, fuzzy.. at least it looks very similar. I'll snap a shot and make a comparison Friday

How did you fry yours? Do you have the really powerful kezzil grow lights?

Yeah was running the h380 for 12 hours... not really thinking about how bright it was or what light the person I got it from was running. I didn't really pay too much attention but after about a week or two the entire outer layer was brown and deteriorating. Picked it all off and reduced to 8 hours... which seemed to slow the die off but I think its too far gone. I'm resisting raising the light anymore as I'm trying to limit the spread to the other sections. I'd prefer not to use a shroud if I can.
