Scoly placement

Hey guys and gals I purchased a very nice Aussie scoly but I'm having problems finding a location. My tank is overcrowded but I'm addicted to new corals :headwalls:

Right now I have it placed next to an acan about 1" away and some cabbage leather.

Anyone have any experience with them, meaning what can they touch or be next too.

Thanks

Scolly's need to be on the sand bed away from corals that especially have tentacles or are aggresive. Scolly's when settled in expand a great deal. I have one scolly in particular that expands from 3" to as much as 5-6". I had this same problem over a year ago when I thought the same thing. I had it next to an Acan colony and in the night the stingers would burn it when the scolly expanded onto it. You have to give it room. It should be good next to the cabbage though. Any pics?

Crap I glued it to the rock, I read somewhere that they don't need to be in the sand and actually like to be off of it, I will move it I guess I do have a pic but can't upload it with my iPad

They do need some space. I saw this the one morning when I came down before work. I took the picture when all the lights were out and used the flash. I had never seen it extend tentacles this way before.

I have two scollys and yours appears to be feeding. Both of mine look like that after the lights go out until they come back on in the morning. Keep it on the sand and it should be fine.
