I have a scolymia with a very damaged mouth.. Can it be rescued? In a sense, there is no mouth already.. The skeleton is already out.. However the flesh is still attached to the body.. Its been like that for a while..
maybe the CB is added before ate the tentancles thinking it was some kind of worm.. will it be able to recover? its been like that for weeks.. so i still got my hopes up.. where should i place it? low light and low flow?
Definitely low light and flow. I am guessing when you say "CB" you mean Coral Beauty? If so there is a chance he may be nipping at it. Only time will tell if it will recover.
If I have a coral going south, I will usually pull it and do a quick dip and then place it back in the tank.
water conditions are ok.. since i have sps and zoas that are doing great.. maybe a little low on Ca since i have not been dosing.. hope it recovers.. placed it in a low flow and light area.. it seems to be inflating a bit.. its just the mouth is too damaged (gone i think)..
