Scolymia Spawn 8-8-08

Today around 7 PM I and WVCleaner were standing around the 150 display at the shop talking about among other things, coral spawning and how we had never witnessed it personally when all of a sudden as if on cue my large Scolymia extruded a gust of spawn material. Of course we were amazed and could not believe it then it happened a second time. I remembered I brought my camera so I grabbed it and what you see is a documentation of my first coral spawn event.

We were quite amazed and ecstatic to have seen this take place especially after discussing it right before it happened, so be careful I think these things (coral) can read our thoughts
