Today my lfs had a scopas tang for sale. It was a very pail yellow color and seemed very stressed. I picked it up as it was fairly cheap and I've never owned a tang. After acclimation, I added him to my tank. He quickly became friends with my coral Angel and explored the tank. After lights out, I went out to my kitchen and noticed that he had turned almost completely black with a bit of gray on his face. This surprised me as it looks nothing like the fish I had purchased. I expected a bit more color as I know he was stressed before, but not something that drastic. Any ideas? I've seen people posting that they've gotten scopas that are black hybrids, as that would be cool I wanna make sure it's not him being more stressed and showing it in a different way.
