Scotts Pet shop, Seriously I am Disappointed

i believe people got the hopes up because mitch was setting up the store, etc...and im sure he did and would have done a great job but he couldnt do it by himself
 
Unfortunately you have to realize that there are a lot of people in this hobby who don't utilize Reef Central, and dont know any better and are very willing to hand over their money to bad stores, Petco, scotts etc....

As long as theres enough of those people these type of stores will continue to turn a profit and continue their currrent praticies.
 
Lets hope they read this thread. We all want another good pet shop that focuses on saltwater. They have all they need to make it succeed. If they run it well they could end up a success.
How about starting a thread to get some people that love fish working there. Maybe we can get some young reefers to "sneak in" and save the fish.

Wow! i must have a sick wrasse- mine keeps swimming and swimming and swimming :lol:

hello everyone, i have been holding back on talking bad about these stores because mitch worked there but know that he doesnt. manager at scotts one is a B*&#h and an idiot, i know mitch said the owners a good guy but he's not. My buddy did a roof repair for this guy on the second store he still has not recived a payment and he said he is only paying 60% of the bill its been over a month. thats not a place i would go to! its like us offering 60% of his marked prices. the owner is a a##h#@e if you ask me not only is the management horrible the new owner trys to scam his contractors. WE should all support mitch and just stop shopping there they should change there name to petco 2, because its all about the money, even if you have to scam your contractors, customers, or whomever. he doesnt care about the customers he just cares about his pockect. actually calling it petco 2 would be an insult to petco.

Put a lien on his business his house. I think hes also a doctor so I would put one on his practice.

Is the head guy still Scott? Dont know as I havent been to the original store in at least 6 years. If its the same people with the same practices and management style then its off my list already. The original was called "Scotts little shop of horrors" by many for a long long time.

lol - read my mind.....

Not a good idea to screw with a contractor. They can really mess with a persons credit line if you screw them (and they know what they are doing).
 
I'd shop at a store run by Mitch any day. I was waiting for this shop to open, despite being a "Scott's" store, it was going to be run by Mitch which meant it was going to be done right. It Mitch ever decides to open up a shop I won't hesitate to support that business 100%
