Scribbled angel primer

I've never heard of "all Scribbled turn to male" either but that said, my larger Scribbled which is now around 6" seems to be getting some horizontal lines starting to form the tail and forward. Not sure if its converting to a male or just female coloration. Funny part is the smalller one (around 3"), still has the "female look" but the LFS swore to me this was a male. I honeslty think it was a sales pitch but boutght him anyway cause i got it a great price. They are both in the same tank and get along well. The larger one does remind him know once in a while whose the boss but there is no ongoing harrasment!! good luck

Angel- how long have u had ur scribbled? Has it been the only scribbled angel in your tank since ur recent purchase of the other angel?

I actually got them 3 weeks apart so both were in QT together and introduced to the DT at the same time. theyve been in the DT about 15 months now . hopefully one of the them will turn into a male .

I see a pair of "mated Scribbled angels" were sold on DD last night or today. Both look like their still in the juvi/female coloration. I wonder if the lucky buyer is on this forum. If so, would love to see some pics!

anyone got any advice on the best diet for scribbled angels? I put nori on a clip every morning and when i get home from work i put some NLS pellets in. Thats what ive been doin for 2 months now. Hes got a fat belly and has grown very fast. Id like to throw some angel formula in there but he wont seem to take it yet and i HATE polluted my water with uneaten food.

My pair of scribbled eat almost anything i put in the tank though one is more finicky. I feed angel and formula II by O.N. pe and hikari large mysis, clam strips, krill, nori, nls and formula II pellets. They also likes Rods but it's kinda messy. Definitely try to feed more than nori and pellets.
Btw is it male or female? Size?

Update:still not full male yet...almost there...after one year in my tank

Update.....after +-5months he/she is still between male and female:rolleyes:

My female Scribbled is about 6 inches and she's a real beauty with a great personality. She's not aggressive towards any of her tankmates. I've had her for 2 years.

I was anticipating her transitioning to a male, but she has shown no signs of it. To be honest, it would be cool to see her change "over" but I really like her "as is".

Does anyone keep a scribbled in a reef tank? I am not sure if I should get a juvi as my LFS has one. I have already a majestic in my mixed reef which does not harm any corals.
