Scrubbing live rock, releasing ammonia?

I use filtered tap water using Nutri-Tech 7-stage countertop filtration system that reads 0 ppm Nitrates.

I used activated carbon for more than a year. Just today, though, I placed Rowa Phos in the filter bags for treatment.

I change the bag and the carbon once a week. It used to be once every two weeks but this has gotten out of control that dead algae are just corroding my bags.

I am planning on just keeping two fish here for now. In a couple of months, the Blue Hippo Tang will be sold back to my local LFS. So I will be left with a maroon clown and (hopefully soon) corals.

How safe are hermits the small red leg and the small blue leg
Will they harm eat the coraline alage or just the bad algae?

Hermits will pick at all algae, left over food etc. They will pick at corraline but you wont even be able to tell they were.

Hermit crabs also eat small animals and sometimes even snails. I got rid of all of mine.
