Scuba Diving in Virginia and surrounding

My boyfriend and I just got our open water Scuba Diving license and we would like to know of some places to scuba dive besides mexico and florida? around 5 hours away from roanoke, va would be our extent. So, please help out with some locations. my email is bmarieknees@yahoo.com.

Ches light and surrounding artificial reefs. Can be decent at times but my last trip vis was very bad at 3-4 feet. Two weeks before it was 35-40 feet of vis. We saw a large school of barracuda, spadefish, gorgonians, some hard corals and lots of other life. Lynhaven divecenter runs trips out of VA Beach.
