I've wanted to do this for years. Damn you back surgery!!!!
What a great thing to organize. I really wish I could participate.
To those of you signing up, have fun!

Apparantly you can't LOG IN and then do this cause Paypal auto brings up the amount for a renewal and you can't change the amount.

I guess you "join" like you aren't a member already?

Now I can't log out - I don't see a log out button

That site REALLY needs a log out button. I've been gone from the site for hours and just went back to try again. I'm still logged in so I can't try joining again.

Doesn't the join screen come up similar to the renewal screen though with a pull down window with amounts there? IF this is true - how are we supposed to pay $200 through it?

is that may 18th-23rd an everyday schedule? Tues. Wed. Thurs. Fri. Sat and Sun. from 6pm - 9pm? if so, that is going to be a very tough schedule for My 12yr old son and me to keep up with.

OK - I've spent WAY too much time trying to pay for this already through the FMAS website.

Please just post the email address that you want the monies going to and I'll just go straight to PayPal and send from there. It will be MUCH simpler.

Thanks

Tha'ts my question too, are they everyday classes, because I agree that will be very tight, not sure if doable if it is every day, as I'm up in Boca and usually not out of work until 6pm, so need to find out if thats everyday classes or what.

I guess I'm just guessing but it appears that it IS everyday. I agree It's tight but a heck of a lot better to do it quick and get er done than spreading out like one day a week for who knows how long.

I know its probably menial but the way they promo'ed this at the meeting was that the equipment was included..... are we renting equipment? When they said this included the equipment I take it they meant this included renting of the equipment. Im not sure on using equipment (regs) that someone else was using. Doesn't seem too sanitary to me but hay I guess its free right. Im thinking of purchasing my own equipment can you tell us if they have discounts set up or if they have deals if a group of us were to purchase equipment.

Anyone else interested in purchasing their own equip?

My Son lives with his Mom in Miami gardens on some of those days, i work in Davie. i would have to go to Miami gardens from Davie to pick up my Son then Drive to A1A and Las olas during rush hour traffic. and did i mention i work until 6pm? i would have to leave work at 4pm to barely make it. Very tough schedule. But like Chuck wrote, it would be done that much faster! i dont know how i would pull it off though, i really want to do it but considering my work schedule, my Son, his Homework, Time and distance to travel....i just dont know......

i would be, BUT VERY depending on how much it cost. my budget for this would be very VERY tight right now

Not only that but i thought i had subsribed to the thread for instant email to responses, i didnt get any, thought we had no responses. Again, i apologize for the delay in responses.. :furious:

We will probably add the link in the website, but for now, use the following link for payments:

OK......As questions come I dig deeper. I just spoke with Worth from Aquanauts. I apologize if its a little confusing right now, but we have been discussing this event for weeks for countless hours and the details got a little mixed up for me; we have changed them a few times in an effort to accomodate as many as possible.

Here is the update:

The sessions mention above ARE INCLUSIVE of the pool and beach dives. In other words, THOSE SIX DAYS ARE IT, YOUR CERTRIFIED BY THE END OF THE SESSION!!

We are going to call them Session 1-2-and 3. When you register and pay, please tell me your preference. The sessions are going to hold only 12 people, unlike what I thought before. So each session is limited to 12 people, hence the 36 limit. Three session with 12 in each.

SESSION #1- May 4- 9th, 2010- 9AM-12noon

SESSION #2- May 4- 9th, 2010- 6PM- 9PM

SESSION #3- May 18- 23rd, 2010- 6PM- 9PM

That clears a lot up. Thanks again Eddie for all your hard work, and FMAS crew for setting this up. I have wanted to get certified for years but just couldn't drop that kind of money for one reason or another.

Thanks again,

-Matthew

I'm Sorry Eddie, but i still need clarification......

on the days for example, May 18th thru the 23rd. (May 18th being tuesday the 23rd is Sunday) the hours listed from 6pm-9pm as you wrote it is INCLUDING the pool and beach dives. this means a early evening beach dives on one or two of those days? or did i misread something...Sorry

Thanks in advance
Emilio

In speakin with Worth he is suggesting the Beach dives be held during the day on the weekend (last 2 days). Very likely 8am-12pm. Pool dives will be the precedding Friday. In other words 3 academic, pool, then ocean for 2 days.
