The last pictures of my 30g hex...

....before filling the new 115g with water, that is!!! :D :D

So I finally caught the last of my trio of Bartlett anthias. Loved 'em, but they just needed too much food for my little tank, even with a 5ft 4" diameter CC needle wheel skimmer

Only one acro survived the onslaught of extra nutrients, but all else is doing well. 3+ year old tank, DSB, fuge with chaeto.

Anyways, enjoy the pics. Questions and comments welcome.

Thought I'd add a pic of the new tank....assuming all goes well, it should have water in it next week :D

My fish are salivating looking at it....

*whistles* that new tank is going to be GORGEOUS, very nice! Nice pictures, everything looks really happy. When they go from their current home into the new tank they won't know what hit 'em! :D

Thanks for the kind words...too bad planning and setting up is soooo less than gorgeous. Example...the nightmare that is currently my livingroom

You call that a nightmare? I don't see any pvc dust on the furniture,:D

Last weekend some friends and I mapped everything out. I bought any remaining necessary odds and ends today at HD and Harrington Plastics. Next weekend we'll be covered in PVC shavings and high on PVC cement fumes :bounce1: :bounce2: :bounce3:

SDGuy, in the hex, what kind of lighting do/did you have over it?

250W DE PFO minipendant with icecap eballast. 14K Phoenix bulb. I'll have two of these on the new tank.

how does that needle value skimmer work for you?

It's not pretty, but works great. You know, I think every reefer should try making their own skimmer. Believe me, I'm not a super DIY kind of guy. But you learn SO much about how they really work, and what it means to fine tune them.
