sea cucumber info

I put a sea cucumber into my tank and havent seen it for a few days. Do they hide, come out at night?

have people had them nuke there tanks ?

Most sea cucumbers are nocturnal so it is no surprise that you haven't seen it for a few days. There are some species of sea cucumbers that are quite toxic to fish, if provoked or should they die and not be removed right away, but generaly those species that are sold in the pet trade, with the exception of "sea apples" are relatively safe.

thanks for the info. so if one of the cucumbers happens to perish, my cleanup crew will clean it up like they would if a fish/snail/hermit dies?
