I had a sea hare in my tank - emphasis on the 'had'. Last saw it climbing up the rock on which perches my Mag. Don't know that the mag ate it, but haven't seen it since.

Now this is something I hadn't thought about. I have 3 BTA and 1 carpet and have thought about getting a sea hare for clean up. Maybe I would continue thinking about it!

I'm not sure about sea hairs, but i had lettuce sea slugs very successfully in my tank with 3 nems in it. They actually reproduced so i had like a billion sea slugs. I never saw them as nem food though.

I had a sea hare with my giga carpet. The sea hare would sometime fall into the nem but it would get all slimey and the nem would spit it out. Although nothing was ever affected in the tank and it happened many times, the whole thing made me nervous so I got rid of the sea hare.
