Sea Hare

I know they are tough to keep but dont understand why. I know my water is good and i know there is plenty of food so why would one die? Do they hide much? Its been three days and I cant find him should i tear the tank apart to find him?

I just got one last week, did hide for a couple days...
But when he is out watch out!!! he chows hairy green alg. like crazy!! and its a dammm bulldozer..

I bet they only eat certain kinds of hair algae

If it was a plant my Seahare ate it. It even ate cyano. Then it slowly starved to death. That was my first one. The second i gave back to the LFS when he had picked everything clean. I would even put out nori for him to eat and it would be gone every day. I was afraid he was starving so i took him back to share with someone else.

I have had 3 different types.. Sorry, don't remember names.. But the largest one- that looked like a school bus hit it in the rear end (flat tail) was AWSOME! lasted a long while! (Dolimite ..??)
