Sea Horse

Do Sea Horse really have to be in a seperate tank? I have a 60 gall. Reef...Not to many fish, Regal Tang, PJ Cardinal, 2 Clarks ClownFish & Purple FireFish...The Regal Tang is really calm, scared of everything!
Can I keep 2 Sea Horse in this tank? They are one of my favorite fish, since I was a kid.

no, the guidelines are lies to keep people form their dreams ? lol

sorry I am joking yes, they need a SUITABLE tank.

tangs are a no no ... they eat algae, seahorses live in algae and promote its growth on them, meaning the tang will nip on it.

it is not easy to feed seahorses, and it is impossible to feed it with all other fish present.

lastly, is temp of reef, not being compatible with seahorses.

best of luck, and they are worth changing your reef to seahorse tank or even plumbing in a smaller 25G for sea horses !
