I just recently purchased to seahorse through my local f/s! They are currently in a 24g cube that has a black back ground and due to the black back ground I thought I was loosing my ponies, but havent yet. I got them 9/1, still alive!! lol. The male is yellow and the female is orange how do I get color back to them..? what ind of corals can I add that are commonly seen to help preserve the natural colors....? Would like to get some awesome feed back.

Thanks, George

They tend to mimic there surroundings, I would try to add as much yellow and orange as possible.

There is not much color in my tank so mine are mostly brown now. I do have one female that gets a nice red tint to her when she hitches onto some red macro in the tank.

Most people use fake corals as hitches, as many live corals are not seahorse compatible. Try a blue background, they can't change that color, so they will then try to blend in with whatever fake corals you have in the tank.
