Sea of Marvels Open Yet?

just got back. bought a purple anenome and some snails. the store looks awesome. hopefully when we have the diy meeting he will have all the tanks full.
 
Better directions to get there is to get off of I380 at exit 4, go east to the Casey's, handi mart, go south to Madison (1st rd behind caseys) go west to blue building. I spent 20 min and asked to diffrent people were N. Madison was.
 
I am going there tomorrow, can't wait to see the new store. He is the only good one around this area that I know of. There is a place called "Hooked by Fish" but I don't feel comfortable with their lack of knowledge. Anyone been there?
 
When I was at the old store last time the only acros he had where very brown and ugly....I hope he plans to get some good quality suppliers whith some colorful sps...

Christa- we also live in the Cedar Rapids area, have you been to Pet's Playhouse? It is better than Hooked By Fish, but nothing like Sea of Marvels!
 
Yes, I have been to Pet's Playhouse. I saw they expanded their saltwater section. He is still getting it stocked. Where are you a teacher Steph? (If you don't mind me asking.) :)

Stopped bye SOM new store today on my way back from Waterloo.

Nice store...has lots of potential, thought I would pick up a Blood Shrimp for my tank, there were no prices marked so I asked how much the Blood Shrimp cost. The Girl told me 45.00 I asked her if she was sure and she went and looked it up came back and told me 45.00 for a blood shrimp is a good price. I declined the purchase and looked around a bit more. He has some real nice looking live rock in the upper tanks but at 12.50 a pound its a bit steep for me.

He definetely has a lot of room to do some cool things...it will be a nice shop once its stocked.

Yes, I was there today too. ( I wonder if I saw you!) He has alot to do yet. I bought 2 Royal grammas at $24 each. I thought that was very expensive. What do you think? I don't like it when he has people there that don't know anything. That drives me crazy. There were also quite a few dead things in tanks, but after a while I am sure it will get better. When he gets everything stocked it should be nice.
 
Christa, I teach out at College Community, Alternative Kindergarten, until the end of the year. I do not know yet where I will be next year!
