I have to say I have never gotten a bad deal from Hung. He is one hell of a guy in my opinion. I used to buy all of my broodstock clowns and many corals from him.

We all want as much out of our items as we can get, so we can't really fault him for trying to make a profit. That is why he is in business. I will agree that some of the corals can be a little high, but having lived in Davenport I don't think SOM is too far out of line from AE. I know the first time I saw xenia I ended up spending $49.99 on it at AE for a single stalk and it was the brown one... I wasn't and am still not ****ed about that, now that I know it grows like weeds and people throw it or give it away... I know that I was willing to spend that money to get that coral. My desire matched their price. Same deal with Hung, he shoots you a price and you can turn it down and walk or you can buy it. Doesn't make him a bad person either way...

On a side note: I would pay a premium for his fish, because they always are healthy, but he really does offer a fair price on them also. My broodstock cost me $12.50 per clown and were spawning within months because he fed and cared for them properly. Clowns from anywhere else could have taken me over a year to get them to spawning condition.

I would never say he was a BAD PERSON...thats not an issue.

So far as his prices are concerned I think it's hit and miss. That was more my point. I'm almost always shocked by his prices. Whether it's me getting a sweet deal, or it's gorssly over priced.

Hung is a cool dude regardless of his prices.

And his fish are indeed top notch. Like I said I absolutely love my coral beauty from him. I also got a nice pearly jawfish from him. But they day I pay $125 for a black occelaris is the day monkeys fly out of my bum. haha Again prices are hit and miss.

I did purchase a BW occ from him in may, I traded in a pair of Occ, so I dont remember what I paid, I think it was about 80. That being said, in QT after the first day showed signs of an internal parasite, and it eventually killed it after 6 months in QT and many MANY attempts to beat it. I looked at his remaining bw's right after I first saw the parasite, and none of the others showed signs. I live very near SOM and was in every week, looking at coral and looking to Hung for possible help. Hung was 'mildly' helpful saying it isnt a big deal and it will be fine, but never much more than that.

I have since always looked at his BW's when I am in there, and I have noticed that about 80% of them showed the same signs of internal parasites, I told him and he said he wasnt concerned... I guess at $125 bucks each he can cover his costs if only 20% of them make it.

I was just hoping to have more support from him, not that he has to in any way, seeing as how I informed him within 24 hrs of the problem and kept him posted throughout. I guess I thought being as how he was local, he might offer ways to rectify my problem, replacement for free/ replacement w/ heavy discount/replacement with any discount. He never really offered anything except 'I don't know what to tell you'.

All that being said, I guess I still go in there but don't really buy anymore.
