sea star QT

I just got one of these and drip acclimated and put in QT.
Anybody have any experience with these? I got it cause I am trying to have a Hawaii themed tank. Am not sure if I should go ahead and put it in main tank as there is not much to eat in the QT tank. I tried to feed it a couple different pellets but it just moves over them and doesn't seem interested. I am going to try a frozen mysis and see if it eats.

Does anybody QT starfish?

They are basically considered detritivores. They are only known to do well in large tanks with considerable live rock for them graze from. Otherwise, they tend to do poorly.

Hey Bill, so you think I should go ahead and transfer them to the main tank? I was going to leave them in QT for a week or 2 but if you think they won't survive I will go ahead and move them.

If you got some chunks of LR that you can move into the QT for the couple of weeks, that would work Otherwise they are better off going straight into the main tank.
